Admission UG

Purpose

To identify, select and admit the most deserving students for imparting quality education and training through a three-year degree programme and Placement after the successful completion of the programme.

Procedure

The admission details with the application form are posted in the month of February on the website dbcyelagiri.edu.in

From the 1st week of March, the application may be received online or in person / by post from DBCY Office or can be downloaded from the website on payment of Rs.100/-.

Within THREE days of the publication of Higher secondary Examination results, applicants should submit applications as hard copy in the office.

Within 10 days of the publication of results, and with the approval of the principal, the first list of selected candidates is published on the website as well as the notice board. These students with their parents meet the Principal / Vice principal and confirm their admission.

At the admission Documents required (Original with Two Copies)

  • Original HSC Mark sheet (Plus 1 and Plus 2)
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Migration Certificate
  • Conduct Certificate
  • Original 10th Marks Sheet.
  • Four passport size and four Stamp size photos
  • SC/ST/Backward Class/Minority Certificate from Tahsildar
  • Aadhar Card Copy
  • Income certificate
  • Bank Passbook with Aadhar and PAN linked
  • ALL UG Degree Marksheet for PG Admission

After the confirmation of the admission, the admission Coordinator assigns a department roll number for every student.

The student must pay the fees by a specific date mentioned in the website and the noticeboard.

Admission Research

Purpose

  • Duly filled in Application forms along with the photocopies of the documents mentioned above should be submitted to the college office.
  • Candidates will be informed of the Interview date, Candidates will have to appear for the interview on the prescribed date, and if selected, should take the admission on the same day itself after paying the requisite fees
  • Candidates will have to contact the Administrative Office/ refer to the Notice Board for any clarification.​​

Admission Research

Purpose

Procedure

Admissions for M.Phil. / Ph.D research Programs- as per university direction.

The Tamil Nadu government-Fee refund policy

The Tamil Nadu government's fee refund policies for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students are generally aligned with the guidelines set by the University Grants Commission (UGC). These policies are designed to ensure fair treatment of students who choose to withdraw their admissions.

​UGC Fee Refund Policy for 2024-2025:

The UGC has established a structured fee refund policy for the academic year 2024-2025, which is applicable to higher education institutions across India, including those in Tamil Nadu. The key provisions are:

  • Full Refund: Students are entitled to a 100% refund of fees if they withdraw their admission 15 days or more before the formally notified last date of admission.
  • Partial Refund: If the withdrawal occurs within 30 days after the formally notified last date of admission, the refund amount may be reduced, and certain deductions could apply.
  • No Refund: Withdrawals made more than 30 days after the formally notified last date of admission may not be eligible for any refund.

These guidelines are intended to provide students with the flexibility to make informed decisions about their education without financial penalties, thereby enabling them to opt for courses that best suit their aspirations.
